The research includes the study of water needs for the project (Heraea - Daghara), which is one of the most important projects of irrigation and development ,that includes its both branches : social and economic the reason of the importanc of this project is owing to that it represent an agricultural side in regjon into flood plain which is dry desert climate . That climate can not be depended on rain-fed agriculture . In accordance with mentioned above , the project is a base of agriculturl flourishment for that region . The research interviews water needs for the project , to state water losses and cansuptions , in additio to irrigation efficiency. That means there is an overall water balance between water amount and wholly water needs . The research adopted on the official curriculum to study geographical charachteristics (natural and human) of the project . Also , it depends on analytic method to describe the correlation between these charachteristics and the water need of the project . on the other hand , it adopted on the quantitive approach method (EMI) in the study of equations , laws and statistical data for requested research .
In order to give a comprehensive and move scientific accurancy , the research includes an introduction consisted of a problem premise , goal , work stages and consepts related with the research and structural research . There are four chapters ; the first chapter is a study of geographical charachteristics ( natural and human) of the . The second chapter describes the irrigation and sanitation network of the project , in addition to studying hydrological charachteristics (qualitative and quantitative) of the project . The third chapter his studied climate water balance of project and , also ,shdding light on water consumptions and losses , wash requirements , comprehensive water needs , irrigation efficiency . This b chapter has mentioned also a total water balance between the overeall water revenue and wholly water needs for the project . This step aims to determent water surplus or water deficit, by which , There is a chance to state serious solutions in order to use of the water surplus or overcome the water shortage . While the fourth chapter has completed evaluation of water quality and its suitability for potable water , animal husbandary and agricultural and industrial constructions . It is , also , explained in this chapter the best investment to water in order to develop it by following recent irrigation techniques , which can reduce the losses volume of water as well as to follow a proper agricultural course with the amount of arailable water in the project . These techniquse are able to look for new water sources especially groundwater and processed finally , this study has founded out some impotant results ; the prevailing geographical charachteristics (natural and human) of the project are basic striking factor to increase or verify water needs , as well as the impact of traditional irrigation systems that help to increase water wasteage due to nonability of controlling the amount of water losses in the project.
