The summary
The importance of the health services geography due to it is closely associated with humanitarian entity. That able to identify the health quality of population, facilities rates for the health services, the performance of health services, and also the involve the geographic in health planning. So it is very important in many countries. Hence the subject of the study has been chosen to be. "Health services in zagazig center geographical study using GIS and RS".
The study is divided into six chapter as following:
Chapter one: studies the geographical factors affecting the distribution of the health services in zagazig center, dealing with the location study, area, topographic of study area, water canals (canals-drains) and urban areas classification in study area, the roads of transportation, governmental policy to establish health services, people in terms of the population growth, birth rate, natural increase, and population distribution, population density and population composition.
Chapter two: discusses the geographic distribution of the health services in zagazig center, the result of study it revealed the development size of government and private health services specially in study area during quarter century. Also has shown through the spatial disparities in the distribution of government, private and charitable health services between rural and urban where health services are concentrated in urban areas specifically in zagzaig city the capital of Sharkia governorate. Chapter three: deals the health problems in zagazig center, studied the most important disease spread in study area, mortality rates and causes of death which revealed its results of shifting causes of death in zagazig center to chronic disease especially with the beginning of the twenty-first century, also studied the environmental pollution.
Chapter four: is concerned with studying the influence of the government health services in zagazig center and influence of governmental health services in study area. In addition to the movement of patients to outpatient clinics, internal departments.
Chapter five: discusses the efficiency of health services in zagazig center, included studying services rates of government, private and charitable health services and health labour force that revealed a decline of dentist and nurse service rate in study area than in developed countries.
Chapter six: spatial analysis for some of health services patterns in zagazig center using geographic information system. This chapter focused on spatial analysis of governmental health services as style of the health services patterns in Zagazig center. And evaluated the spatial distribution efficiency according to local standards.
One of the most important results of this study concluded in the using of geographic information system in evaluating efficiency of the health services spatial distribution by adopting local standards, also determine the optimal site for the recommended health services.
