يعد موضوع تعدد الزوجات من المواضيع المهمة التي ينبغي الاهتمام بها وهي نمط من أنماط الزواج الذي يباح بمقتضاه أن يكون في عصمة الرجل أكثر من زوجة. وأن موضوع تعدد الزوجات في عصرنا هذا من الأمور المثيرة التي ترتبط في الأذهان بكثير من الأفكار والمفاهيم والانفعالات فبين مؤيد مطلق معتبر أن الأصل في الزواج التعدد وبين مؤيد بشروط معتبراً لأن الأصل هو زوجة واحدة، فالمؤيدون يرون أن تعدد الزوجات يسهم في حل مشكلة الأرامل والمطلقات التي باتت تؤرق المجتمع والمؤيدون بشروط قد تكون قاسية، لكن الحجة التي يمتلكها الرجل أن هذه المشروعة جائزة في الإسلام لأنها تهدف إلى الكشف عن ظاهرة تعدد الزوجات بجميع أبعادها الاجتماعية والاقتصادية وبيان أهم الأسباب والدوافع التي تساهم في التشجيع على سيادة هذه الظاهرة والوقوف على أهم الأسباب التي تحد منها، فضلاً عن الوقوف على التوزيع النسبي للمتزوجين بأكثر من زوجة على مستوى الوحدات الإدارية، ويضاف إلى ذلك بيان أهم خصائص هولاء المتزوجين. تبرز أهمية الدراسة بقلة التطرق لهذا الموضوع من الباحثين على الرغم من أهميته باعتبار المرأة هي نصف المجتمع أولاً وهي المربي ثانياً وتتحمل كافة تبعات الحياة من تربية ومسؤولية وإلى غير ذلك. و قد اخترت هذا الموضوع للبحث فيها والتعرف إلى ما يمكن الوصول إليه من أسباب وآثار دافعة إلى الزواج بأكثر من زوجة وتكمن أهمية الدراسة في التعرف على أهم النتائج الإيجابية الناتجة عن تعدد الزوجات منها الحفاظ على المجتمع من الوقوع في المحرمات وأن مستوى الدخل دافع للتعدد، وأن عدم الإنجاب دافعاً رئيساً للتعدد، أما الجانب السلبي بما يتركه الرجل من ألم وحزن في قلب زوجته الأولى حين معرفتها بزواج زوجها بإمرأة أخرى لأنه يعرض الحياة الزوجية إلى النفاق وزعزعة الاستقرار الأسري.
ومن النتائج التي توصلت إليها الدراسة أتضح أن عدد المتزوجين بأكثر من زوجة قد تباين على المستوى البيئي فقد تفوقت بيئة الريف على بيئة الحضر في توزيعها وكانت النسبة (59%) بالريف ويليها (41%) للحضر للمدة (2009 - 2018)، وارتفاع نسب المتزوجين بأكثر من زوجة لذوي التحصيل العلمي المتدني (الأمية، الابتدائية، مما دون المتوسطة) وانخفاض نسبهم بالنسبة لذوي التحصيل الدراسي المرتفع ( دبلوم ، بكالوريوس، شهادات عليا)، كانت هناك أسباب دافعة لتعدد الزوجات منها الرغبة في الإنجاب، مرض الزوجة، ارتفاع المستوى الاقتصادي للزوج، المقدرة الجنسية، وجاءت في مقدمة إيجابيات ظاىرة تعدد الزوجات الإنجاب حيث كانت نسبة المتزوجين بأكثر من زوجة بسبب الإنجاب (36.6%) على مستوى القضاء، وقد تركت ظاهرة تعدد الزوجات آثار سلبية على المتزوجين بأكثر من زوجة منها الطلاق، فقدان الثقة بالنسبة للرجل وزيادة حدة الفقر والمشاحنات الاسرية، وكما أثرت على إضعاف العلاقة العاطفية والحالة النفسية للزوج وأزمة السكن.

Abstract
The issue of polygamy is one of the important topics that should be taken care of, and it is a type of marriage in which it is permissible for a man to have more than one wife. And the issue of polygamy in our time is one of the exciting things that relate in the minds with many ideas, concepts and emotions. Between an absolute supporter, they consider the origin in marriage, and between a supporter on conditions, considering that the origin is one wife. Society and supporters on conditions may be harsh, but the argument that a man owns is that this project is permissible in Islam because it aims to reveal the phenomenon of polygamy in all its social and economic dimensions and to explain the most important reasons and motives that contribute to encouraging the rule of this phenomenon and Of the most important reasons that limit them, as well as the relative standing of married more than one wife at the level of administrative units and add to that statement of the most important characteristics of Hola married. The importance of the study is highlighted by the lack of discussion of this topic from researchers, despite its importance, given that women are half of society first, and they are educators secondly, and bear all the consequences of life, from education, its officials, and so on. I chose this topic to discuss it and learn about what can be reached from the causes and effects of his motivation to marry more than one wife. The importance of the study lies in identifying the most important positive results resulting from polygamy, including preserving the community's reason to fall into taboos and that the level of income is a motivation for polygamy and that not having children A major motive for pluralism. As for the negative side of what a man leaves from pain and sadness in his wife's heart when she learns about her husband's marriage to another woman, because he exposes marital .life to hypocrisy and destabilizes family stability .
This study is a descriptive study that relied on the descriptive analytical approach. The study adopted a questionnaire form as a tool in the data collection process, after passing through several stages in order to verify its reliability and credibility as well as simple interviews and observations. The questionnaire data was unloaded and statistically processed in the computer by using the Excel system and using several Statistical methods such as (percentage, standard degree, standard deviation, arithmetic mean, spss). From the results of the study, it became clear that the number of married couples with more than one wife varied on the environmental level, as the rural environment outperformed the urban environment In its rural distribution, the percentage was (59%) in the countryside, followed by (41%) for urbanization for the period (2009-2018), and the high percentage of married couples with more than one wife for those with low educational attainment (illiteracy, elementary, below-average), and low percentages for those with high educational attainment ( Diploma, Bachelor's, Higher Certificates), there were motivating reasons for polygamy, including non-reproductive, wife's illness, husband's financial ability, wife's disease, sexual instinct, emotional relationship, age difference between spouses, Sharia allowed that, and came in the forefront of the positive phenomena of polygamy Childbearing wives, where the percentage of married couples with more than one wife due to childbearing (%36.6)Li the level of the judiciary, the phenomenon of polygamy has left negative effects on married more than one wife, including divorce, loss of confidence for men and material problems, family quarrels and also affected the weakening emotional relationship and the psychological status of the husband and the housing crisis.
